Guardio Health Technologies is a venture located in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada dedicated to the design of innovative, next-generation, compact monitoring systems for heart wellness. The team at Guardio consists of world-leading experts in optical imaging and analytics, with extensive academic and industrial experience and innovation.

Robert Amelard (BSE, MASc) is the co-inventor of our patent-pending CHI technology, and currently a senior PhD candidate in Systems Design Engineering. He has held industry roles in medical technology and software companies, from research to production. Robert leads the team’s technology.

Alexander Wong (PhD) is the Canada Research Chair in Medical Imaging Systems, and the co-inventor of CHI. Alexander has led over $4M in medical research projects, and is a forerunner in the medical research field. Alexander leads the team’s research endeavours.

Kaylen Pfisterer (BSc, MSc) brings experience in coordinating and leading applied research in real-life environments through her Master’s research and role at the RIA. Her blend of basic and applied science background has contributed to the vision of CHI. Kaylen leads the team’s user experience.
